Overview
Nestled in the sun-bathed Valais canton of southern Switzerland, and surrounded by 17 4,000-metre peaks, including the Great Aletsch Glacier (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Blatten-Belalp is one of Switzerland’s lesser-known skiing gems.
The resort prides itself on providing guests with the best possible infrastructure for their holiday. Over the last few years, billions of Swiss francs have been invested in new projects in Upper Valais. The result includes the longest six person chairlift in Switzerland bringing winter visitors to an altitude of 2,500 metres from where they can enjoy the 60km of challenging pistes while summer finds migratory birds and mountain climbers roaming on the Belalp plateau.
