Liechtenstein
The sixth smallest country in the world, tiny Liechtenstein, nestled in the Alps between Switzerland and Austria, is just 62 miles square (160 km²).
It is home to two ski resorts. The best known, Malbun, offers downhill skiing and snowboarding. Although small, it is a successful, modern and particularly family friendly resort and its location ensures reliable snow with 23km of pistes to suit all abilities.
The country’s other resort, Steg, is a major cross-country ski centre with a single drag lift and is known for staging major cross country race events each winter.
Both are accessible by car from Zurich airport in under two hours. Check out our maps to plan your route and visit our road pages for more information on driving to Liechtenstein.
